Sculpture/Ceremics
To make my piece, I started by doing my best to round out the top, and some of the edges. I was aiming to do a cloud shape with raindrops around it, but I ended up only keeping the raindrop shape idea.
One of the obstacles I had was carving through the spaces without breaking the foam around the area. I had a few close calls but overall it was fairly easy. I really like how my piece flows as you look at it. I like the lines that are around the negative spaces and how it flows around the entire piece. I chose to do blue for the base colour of my piece. After I carved out the flowing lines, I thought white would be a good contrast to the blue and would make them pop. I think it worked well, until I applied the red paint. I liked it at first but after a little bit, it seemed to be too overwhelming.
